The camera module is equipped with two image sensors: an 8-megapixel OV8865 and a 3-megapixel S5K5CA.
The OV8865 is known for its high-resolution capabilities, offering a resolution of 8 million pixels (3264x2448 pixels). It captures detailed images with good color reproduction and sharpness.
The S5K5CA is a 3-megapixel image sensor with a resolution of 3 million pixels, equivalent to 2048x1536 pixels.Despite having a lower resolution than the OV8865 sensor, it can still capture detailed images.
The camera module supports autofocus, allowing the lens to automatically adjust focus for clear and sharp images. Autofocus is particularly useful when the distance between the camera and subject varies. The camera module utilises the MIPI (Mobile Industry Processor Interface) interface, which enables high-speed data transfer between the camera module and the host device, facilitating efficient image and video processing. The OV8865 and S5K5CA sensors in combination provide the versatility to capture images at different resolutions. The OV8865 sensor offers higher resolution and is suitable for applications that require more detail, while the S5K5CA sensor is better suited for scenarios where lower resolution is sufficient.
