Product Description
This is an 8MP MIPI camera module featuring the OV8858 sensor from Omnivision. The OV8858 is a low voltage, high-performance 1/4-inch 8-megapixel CMOS image sensor that uses improved OmniBSI-3™ technology. It provides full-frame, sub-sampled, and windowed 10-bit MIPI images in various formats via the Serial Camera Control Bus (SCCB) interface.
The OV8858 image array can operate at up to 30 frames per second (fps) in 10-bit 8-megapixel resolution, with complete user control over image quality, formatting, and output data transfer. Programmable image processing functions include defective pixel cancelling and lens correction (LENC), which can be accessed through the SCCB interface.
Furthermore, Omnivision image sensors utilise exclusive sensor technology to enhance image quality by eliminating common sources of image contamination caused by lighting and electrical issues, such as fixed pattern noise and smearing. This results in a clear, stable, and vibrant colour image.
